Our Lady of New Helfta

At New Helfta, Marie Clare, a lay person living a contemplative life follow a life deeply marked by the same spirit that inspired St. Gertrude the Great, a nun of Helfta monastery in 13th Century Germany, that followed the Cistercian way of life.
Clare witnesses the glory of God through her religious / icon paintings and her sharings of God' goodness and mercy.
God's willing, she hopes someday to have others join her to form a true community of persons dedicated to the search for union with God, supporting one another by fidelity to this simple and prayerful way of life in which we share our personal gifts and our possessions.
At the present, Clare dedicated her life to the Lord, in hope and joy witnessing to the love of Jesus, sustained by God's grace and mercy.
