Founded mid-19th century in service to German-Catholic immigrants, Saint John's supports more Benedictine monks than any other monastery in the Western Church. Actively engaged in educational and pastoral minstries, the monks welcome pilgrims, retreatants, visitors, friends, inquirers, students and guests.
Founded in 1895, Saint Martin's Abbey is located about 60 miles south of Seattle in Lacey, WA. We are Benedictine monks who are involved in a variety of ministries in the Pacific Northwest; nevertheless, our principal work is on the faculty and staff of Saint Martin's College.
